Ghost/Waiparous
WHAT TO BRING: (if you can) shovel, hammer,
electric drill and bits set, work gloves, safety glasses, plenty of
water and a rake. This is the last of four
bridges SRD received from Parks to install in The Ghost for recreational
purposes, so feel free to stop by and help for the day or even a few
hours.

The International Pro Hillclimb in run by
Halter Motorsports
was eye opening and exciting despite the rain on Sunday.
John & Mindy Halter offer a similar approach to racing as the
Second Gear Club in that they are very casual and offer racing
for the whole family. A few of our club members participated on
the Amateur Day Saturday incl. Brian Drofyshyn, Brad Holt,
Jayden Holt, Don O’Brien (on his 125 CANAM), Lexi Pechout and
there were quite a few others there from the cross country
crowd. Interest is buzzing for a club hillclimb next year…3 of
our members even bought hillclimb bikes…oh boy, you guys are
gonna kill me!
Thank you to Mitch for photography and Rockstar Energy Drink for
supporting the event with ice cold drinks all weekend long!
A big thank you to Siggi, Scott, Andy, Jason, Sean for working
the hill catching bikes and running the gate…greatly appreciated
by the Halter’s. Also a thank you to Julie, Nick, Kathy, Samm &
Joleen for showing up to volunteer but were not needed and all
had a chance to be spectators…a bit strange sitting enjoying the
events hey!?

Cuthbertson at the Parry Sound, Ontario FIM World Enduro 2
Day. Check out the results at

live results. While they all rode different classes, Jason and
Shane had a great battle it appears through the special
tests…they had very close finishes each time. I haven’t been
able to get the results from the New York enduro just yet.
Jason has just opened up his riding career by trying out these
enduro to better prepare himself for this years ISDE in Chili.
Second Gear Club has been granted access to specific
trails.

Rob Norton has put
together a work weekend to clear logs in the Fallen
Timber area. The guys have been working hard the past
few weeks to try and clear enough trail for the next two
races in the area. We really need your help. Give us a
call or just show up. Bring your chainsaw if you have
